知识工程研究室成立于1996年，致力于网络环境下知识工程理论、方法和应用研究。主要研究内容包括：社会网络分析与挖掘、新闻挖掘、语义Web、知识图谱构建等。实验室长期承担担国家级项目、国际合作项目、以及部委和企业合作项目，包括自然科学基金重点项目、863项目、欧盟合作框架项目、中英牛顿高级学者基金项目、以及与新华社、腾讯、华为的合作项目等。研究成果获得中国人工智能学会科技进步一等奖和中国电子学会自然科学技术二等奖等多项奖励。
